Илия Луков дари камбана на българите в Албания

150 килограмова камбана дари Илия Луков на българите в Албания. Камбаната е за православния храм „Свети Никола” в село Гиневац. Още 15 хиляди евро са необходими за довършването на храма, това каза пред Дарик радио Мариан Нинов, временно изпълняващ длъжността посланик в Тирана.
Албанската държава не признава официално българите за малцинство в страната. Българското външно министерство няма официална статистика колко са българите в Албания. По неофициална информация те са около 40 000 души. Най-много живеят в областта Голо бърдо, където се намират дванадесетте български села.
Камбаната, която дари Илия Луков е за храма „Свети Никола” в село Гиневац, в който преди години е имало три православни църкви. Сега, с помощта и на българското посолство в Албания, храмът се възстановява.
Реконструкцията е започнала през 2004 г. Необходими са още средства за изграждането на олтара и за изографисването на храма. Инициативата за започването на кампанията е на местните българи, които също така вземат участие в нея.

There is no recognized Bulgarian minority in Albania as yet. There are three Bulgarian associations in Albania - Association Prosperity Golo Bardo, Tirana, Bulgarian classes to the Association Prosperity Golo Bardo - Tirana and Elbasan and Culture association Ivan Vazov, Tirana.

There is no exact data on how many Bulgarians live in Albania - 100,000 is quite a big number, but certainly, there are Bulgarians living there, in particular in the region of the GoloBardo and Prespansko Lake and this is beyond any doubt, the Chairperson of the International Center for Examining Minorities and Inner-cultural interactions Antonina Zhelyazkova said in an interview for FOCUS News Agency. According to her during a census in the 19-th century, 7,000 people in nine village sin Albania self-defined as Bulgarian. But during a census in 2005, one part said they were Bulgarians, other said they were Macedonians. 'Of course, there are Macedonians in Albania, but the large number of Bulgarians there cannot be questioned', Zhelyazkova said.
